While on the design team for the Poudre River project, I was given the opportunity to design a gateway element for the Poudre Heritage Trail which parallels the Cache La Poudre River in Fort Collins. This section of the river has been declared a National Heritage area. Multiple stakeholders included the Poudre Heritage Alliance, the Fort Collins Downtown Business Association and Fort Collins Parks Planning. The design process included meetings with and presentations to the Poudre River Whitewater Park design team as well as members of the Poudre Heritage Alliance and the Downtown Business Association. This element is also sited in the whitewater park. The graphic elements in the work relate to historic uses of the river in that area. Graphic design by BHA Design.
