My approach to public art is to celebrate the function, setting and context of the public site through sculptural means. I have completed public artworks in several states across our country for institutional, municipal, county, state, and private clients. I have a fascination for objects that have a utility or purpose – an aesthetic of function. It is the gesture of their use and the interaction on a form or space that interests me. Moving parts, or even the suggestion of motion in a piece, implies an act of connection.
